Painted in plein air on site at Montana Avenue Steps overlooking Santa Monica Beach and the glorious Pacific Ocean. The sketch-like quality of the background in contrast to the deeper detail of the bluffs demonstrates the time sensitive nature of plein air painting.
The original painting measuring 11″x14″ was painted in plein-air on rough watercolor paper. The fine art giclee is printed locally and highlights the detail and texture of the original painting.
